Coverage

What SQLQuack's measured figures cover, and how they are measured.

Syntax and translation are separate claims, measured separately. Each figure says what it counts. None of them means every input is proven: a figure says what was checked, under which conditions.

MeasureFigureBasis
Documented Snowflake syntax forms verified71.26% of 3,3512,388 forms verified against cases recorded on Snowflake and approved reviews, as of 6 November 2026.

The syntax figure is the share of documented Snowflake syntax forms that meet every obligation declared for them. The catalogue holds 3,351 forms, one per documented syntax block or variant. A form counts as verified only when it has at least one required obligation, every required obligation is satisfied by a case recorded on Snowflake, and an approved review of its family is current. Anything missing, ambiguous or stale counts as not verified.

Reproduce it from a checkout:

cargo run --release -p sqlquack-syntax-coverage -- summary

Its checked 3479 forms line counts the whole catalogue. 128 of those forms no longer appear on any pinned documentation page, so the figure counts the remaining 3,351.

Every rule converts only the shapes that cases recorded on Snowflake and replayed on DuckDB cover. sqlquack verify replays every recorded case and reports any shape a rule accepts that no passing case covers.
